GREEN MAN and the GATEKEEPER

The Wheel Room, Abbey Mill, Tintern,
Monmouthshire NP16 6SE

On the A466

The peace and calm of Tintern has attracted visitors and seekers of tranquility for many hundreds of years. They came even before the first Cistercian monks of the 12th century. Much later the poet William Wordsworth, artist Turner and many others have made pilgrimages to the village. Indeed Tintern was one of Britain's earliest tourist attractions.
Here you may walk amongst the picturesque ruins of the Abbey - the most complete in Wales - and experience marvelous views of the river Wye.
There is so much to experience at the spiritual heart of the Wye Valley.
